The use of competition law is relatively new, not only for Ukraine but also for all post-Soviet countries since the Soviet Union economy had no competition and there weren't any stock market, markets, insurance and banking services, in the planned economy. The art. 42 of the Constitution enshrine the principle of the state of competition in entrepreneurial activity. The main legal acts in this specific area is the Law of Ukraine «On Protection Against Unfair Competition», «On Protection of Economic Competition», «On Natural Monopolies», «On the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine» and other regulations that promote the protection of fair competition in Ukraine.
